With nearly 20 years in health and fitness publishing, Adam’s accomplishments to date seem to reflect a complete career: 15 years in leading roles at Men’s Health; Chief Content Officer for several top health and fitness magazines; writer of six books, of which a million copies have been sold. Now, Adam joins Precision Nutrition to support his top passion—to use content to help people improve their lives. Adam holds an MS in Exercise Physiology and a BA in Creative Writing, in addition to a CSCS and Precision Nutrition Level 2 Certification.
Before joining PN, Adam was waist-deep in a successful career as a strength and conditioning coach -- first serving Olympic and NFL athletes, and later founding his own company to develop life-changing health and fitness programs for private clients. A former Kentucky's Strongest Man winner, in the space of a single year Adam went from PN Coaching grand prize winner to PN Level 2 Certification Super Coach.
Hailing from Ireland, Ailbhe moved to Canada for what was supposed to be a yearlong stint, and six years later she’s still there. With a BA in Business and Communications and an HDip in Teaching, Aillbhe landed at the fast-paced Bank of Montreal. Now, she brings her entrepreneurial and organizational chops -- along with a love for yoga, travel, and food -- to PN.
A web programmer since 1992, Alaina was the the first ‘tech person' at PN, and has kept things running smoothly even as the company exponentially grows. While her work at PN keeps her on her toes, Alaina has still found time to teach at Singularity University, co-found a telepresence robotics company, gain a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and tinker with emotion emulation in robots.
Holding degrees in History and Journalism, Al supports and celebrates PN clients through the magic of video and audio storytelling. A proud father, family man, and self-professed pop culture junkie, Al enjoys the collaborative, friendly working style of PN and always brings a healthy dose of humor and humanity to his work.
Alex has been honing his skills as a graphic designer for over 25 years. He brings the power of beautiful, intelligent design to enhance the user experience. In other words, he helps PN products look good, and helps clients feel good while using those products. Alex also grows gourmet culinary mushrooms and practices the martial art kendo. But rarely all at the same time.
Alex has worked in the health and fitness industry for over a decade, including working in stinky varsity athletic facilities in university, running her own nutrition practice after graduating, and interning as a PN Coach. Eventually, she migrated to writing, and loves the creative exercise of translating ideas into articles. She also develops recipes for PN’s Encyclopedia of Food. Alex is PN Level 1 and Level 2 certified and has a passion for weightlifting. (And she’s got the calluses on her hands to prove it.)
Alisa Bowman writes and edits articles for Precision Nutrition. Bernice is an avid Ultimate Frisbee player (15 years and counting!). She also loves to travel - especially to eat and discover local cuisine.
A successful marketer for many years, Betty recognized that something was missing. Transitioning to new-client training got her closer to her passion, but still she wanted more. Thankfully, that’s when she found recruiting. In her first post, she built two whole teams -- a daunting task that she ended up loving. When she’s not recruiting amazing new team members for PN, find her challenging her fear of heights via activities like rock climbing and ziplining.
Brad is a Customer Care Specialist with a long history with Precision Nutrition. He started his journey as a student - completing both his Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. Brad’s customer service focus also lends to his Coaching career - both with PN and as a successful in home personal trainer. He also owned and operated a CrossFit Gym for six years. His personal passion is helping others overcome obstacles or tensions that are preventing them from living the life they seek.
Brenda is our Senior Financial Analyst. She is an experienced Professional Accountant with a demonstrated history of working in the consumer goods industry as well as manufacturing. Throughout the course of her career, she has been part of multiple acquisitions, which included team building and system implementations across Canada, and has been the financial lead on new product launches. She has earned her CPA and a Masters in Business Administration from Laurentian University.
Brian is renowned for his expertise in performance nutrition. He's a Registered Dietitian with a Masters in Food Science and Human Nutrition and a long list of credentials and publications (including five books) under his belt. Pro sports organizations like the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Browns trust him for his nutrition consultation, but first and foremost Brian is a PN coach, helping men and fitness pros of all ages and backgrounds achieve their goals and feel great.
While earning her Master's in Computer Science and Applications, Cheryl studied ways to use virtual reality to improve sports performance. An avid traveler, she takes full advantage of PN's remote-working policy, having spent a recent season in Azores, Portugal. A professional volleyball player since 2003, Cheryl has played for Canada's national team along with multiple organizations throughout Europe.
As a Full Stack Software Developer, Chris has built software for early stage startups in Canada, USA and Germany, spanning a variety of industries including: higher education, digital media, and healthcare. Most recently Chris was a Senior Full Stack Developer at iMD Health Canada, where he helped design and build a digital patient education platform. In a prior life, Chris enjoyed a lengthy and successful career focused on graphic and ux design.
Chris currently lives in Dundas, Ontario with his spouse and son. When he's not at work, you can find him flying gliders or practicing guitar.
Craig spent six years in Naval Special Operations as a Special Warfare Combat Crewman (SWCC) and close to two years on the High-Threat Protection team for the U.S. Ambassador to Baghdad in Iraq. Craig trained special operations personnel for foreign governments on three different continents, has been published in the Journal of Strategic Studies, and is now studying human performance and how it relates to motor and perceptual learning.

After having his own health and fitness transformation in his early 20’s, Eric became a personal trainer. Drawing on his rich experience in the industry and bachelors degrees in both English and Physical Education (oh, and he’s got a masters in teaching, too), he’s since worked as a copywriter for some of the top health and fitness companies in the world. Outside of work, he loves to spend time with his wife of 10 years and their two highly-energetic kids.

Before Ivan became a Software Developer, he wanted to be a medical doctor. For years he was into physiology and biology, until one day, he changed his mind. What happened? He built a website for his dad's company with Python and Django. Even though computers and programming had been his hobbies since childhood, the experience of building a real product completely changed his career path. He is however, still interested in everything related to biohacking and nutrition! In his free time, you can find him watching Dr. Rhonda Patrick or growing microgreens of broccoli, but software development is where his passion lays.

A passionate climber, James competes in climbing at the local level and as such is fascinated by the nuances of training, nutrition and performance. His self-directed learning style means James is always improving as a software developer and athlete.
Jason holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Precision Nutrition, along with a BS in Physical Education and Master's in Coaching. He has seven years of teaching experience, including six years as a coach at PN, where he loves working with a clientele with diverse backgrounds, goals, and needs.
With more than a decade of experience in business development roles with top companies in the health, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostics space, Jason brings an expertise in consumer behavior and strategy to PN. When Jason quit his job to pursue a career in web development, it was both the scariest and most empowering moment of his life. Before joining PN, Jason frequently worked with non-profits and smaller businesses. His first project was to create a website for a non-profit rehabilitation gym that helped people regain their ability to walk. Jason is a seasoned hiker, snowboarder, climber, and swimmer, and loves working with a company that inspires others to move too.
Jen holds a Master's in physical therapy, multiple personal training qualifications, and certifications from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Precision Nutrition. She's also a former triathlete and recipient of the Ms. Natural Philadelphia Bodybuilding title. A one-time pharmaceutical rep who traded in corporate success to live her values, Jen's big risks help her relate to PN clients and support them through their unique journeys of change.
Jenn joins PN’s client care team after 20 years running her own music and dance school. The musician’s lifestyle brought her to PN as a client, where she realized she could channel her love of teaching into the nutrition and fitness industry. She went on to get her Level 1 and 2 certifications, start her own coaching business, and the rest is history. A Canadian National Natural Physique Champion, Jenn’s an accomplished physique competitor, and obsessed with finding the perfect cup of coffee.
Jenny completed two rounds of PN Coaching and has been hooked ever since. Prior to working at PN, Jenny applied her tech skills in software testing, development and usability to a huge range of clients. When not at her computer, Jenny can be found surfing or snowboarding — always fueled, of course, by a good cup of coffee.
Jerad is a self-taught programmer who started his career in politics. As an early employee at RewardOps, he helped scale the company’s software development team during a period of rapid growth, coaching and mentoring junior developers along the way. Jerad and his wife learned Spanish together while working remotely in Spain and Mexico for a year, and still spend about half the year traveling. When he’s home, he competes in an axe-throwing league.
Joe brings to PN his SMB and SaaS prowess, and also a passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle. He was the founder and CEO of GrowFit Inc, a company which helps children gain the ability, confidence and desire to be physically active for life, and the creator of QuickBooks Self Employed, a new version of the popular accounting software that was created for entrepreneurs. Outside of work, Joe is an avid runner and runs over a thousand miles a year!
Dr. Berardi (a.k.a. “JB”) is a co-founder of Precision Nutrition, which has become the world's largest online nutrition coaching and certification company. He's an advisor to Apple, Equinox, Nike, and Titleist, and was recently selected as one of the 20 smartest coaches in the world by Livestrong.com.
With a BSc in exercise science and certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Precision Nutrition, Jon has studied under some of the best strength coaches and physical therapists in the industry. He also knows what it's like to be injured and the importance of training according to individuals' needs. A graduate of PN Coaching himself, Jon enjoys helping people overcome their mental barriers to accomplish great things.
Julia is an experienced content writer and editor, and has worked for major media publishing houses like Hearst and Meredith. Although she started her career in fashion, Julia discovered a love of health and fitness while working at Shape Magazine. Shortly after, she became a personal trainer specializing in women who are pregnant and postpartum. As part of her life in Amsterdam, Julia rides her bike everywhere. After graduating from university with a major in Mathematics and Philosophy, Justin discovered that computer programming is “The Thing” he's most passionate about. So he taught himself to program. Holding an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York, design has long been Kelly’s main passion -- but not her only one: She once drove from Brooklyn, NY to Madison, WI to have a custom bike built.
A former police officer and national champion in both powerlifting and bodybuilding (she was backstage with Schwarzenegger!), Krista was an original Precision Nutrition Super Coach before suffering a stroke and rare cancer diagnosis in 2014. Kyra is naturally curious, an avid traveller, and has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 20 years.

As an executive and entrepreneur, Marc has been successfully leading companies since 1987. He is passionate about helping PN positively impact more people in their journey to live healthier and happier lives. Marc is also an Independent Board Director for TEOCO and Friends of the Earth, a Washington D.C. based environmental group. Zionts has been happily married for over 30 years and has 4 nice and kind adult children. Besides enjoying spending time with his family, Zionts is an environmental justice fighter, avid outdoorsman and an accomplished criterium, cyclocross and velodrome bicycle racer.
Before joining PN as a Curriculum Writer, Mary spent five years as a Sr. Sustainability Analyst, working in global corporate responsibility for Kohl's Department Stores and Brooks Running Co. She worked on-the-ground with global manufacturing partners and on collaborative coalitions with the world's largest brands in effort to build more sustainable businesses. In 2016, she transitioned out of the office world and founded a consulting business called Noise and Signal. She spent three years consulting for small businesses and global non-profits on sustainability, philanthropy, health and organizational behavior change.
Mary has a BSc in Applied Economics from the University of MN, with a minor in Communication Studies. She’s a daily practitioner and Director of Branding and Operations at Troy Lucero’s Acme Yoga Project. She works as a Certified Yoga Teacher, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and PN Level 2 Nutrition Coach out of Métier, Seattle.
Mary has consulted with the PN Curriculum team on research, writing, and editing since 2018.
After close to a decade as a software developer, Mattia comes to PN via the web agency Unspace. He has worked as an organizer, teacher, and mentor, and researched sensor networks at the University of Padua in Italy. He has now traded Venice for cold Toronto (he swears he only misses the Alps).
Mona is a project manager who brings wisdom from both her diverse professional experience, as well as her rich life experience. She’s worked in a variety of different industries: pharmaceutical, telecom, marketing, banking, and construction. And she’s travelled to even more countries: Thailand, India, Bali, Singapore, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Portugal, England, and basically every Caribbean island you can think of. Mona loves learning, and if there’s ever something that will help her excel in her role, you can bet she’ll put on her research hat and get cracking.
Morgan makes sure that all Precision Nutrition content meets the PN gold standard through her conscientious web content editing, content management and quality control efforts. An active volunteer, avid traveller and endurance runner, Morgan is passionate about the PN mission: helping every person live and feel their best.
Nate wrote his first book book, Built for Show, in 2008 when he was 23. Since then, his typing fingers continued to burn; you can find his work in Men’s Health and Men’s fitness magazines, as well as the ultra-popular website T-Nation.com, where he worked as an assistant editor. Nate has also authored two other books, The Hero Handbook and Bigger, Smaller, Bigger, and co-authored Experiments in Intermittent Fasting with Dr. John Berardi and Dr. Krista Scott-Dixon. Nate used to be a skinny kid, but now hauls around a fair bit of muscle.
Pam is a highly experienced coach with a long history of fitness instruction and personal training. A graduate of PN Coaching, Pam is a mother of six, a seasoned marathon-runner and a lifelong learner (she returned to university at 45). She helps her clients overcome obstacles with compassion and courage.
Petra loves helping people solve problems, especially when those problems can be solved through high quality, in-depth content. She also loves health and fitness. At Precision Nutrition, she uses her digital marketing skills to bring together these two passions, by connecting people with PN resources to solve their problems. Petra was born and raised in former Czechoslovakia, and after living in hectic US metropolitans, made the decision to move to Vacationland, Maine (which is a real place). She lives there with her husband and three kids.
Phil attended the prestigious Systems Design Engineering program at the University of Waterloo, then turned down a lucrative software development position at IBM to co-found PN. Here he's devoted his career to developing unprecedented technologies that connect clients with the world's leading researchers and coaches. Phil is also publisher of the volunteer-run food magazine Spezzatino and director of The Healthy Food Bank, a nonprofit that provides nutritious staples to people in need throughout North America.
In a parallel universe, Roy would have become a math professor. In this timeline, Roy ended up spending most of the 2010's in Silicon Valley working with companies and startups on prototyping moonshots at Singularity University. He's led workshops around the world on tech and innovation for clients like Pepsi Global, Deloitte, and Barclays. He enjoys all things design, and in PN's case, especially enjoys figuring out how human-centered design applies to protecting people (cybersecurity) and developing better tools and systems for a remote company (less friction, happier people). He is our Internal Products and Systems Tech Whisperer and that makes us very happy.
Ruby is an adaptable team member and a Certified Agile Project Manager who contributes to many projects and parts of the organization, including assisting with the delivery of winners' prizes. (She calls herself “Director of Pleasant Surprise.”) Ruby herself participated in the PN Coaching program, and her PN Level 1 certification is currently underway.
A graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (the youngest person ever admitted at the time), Sarah is a respected nutrition expert who's commonly featured in the media and has a vast online following. Having overcome her own health issues and work-life imbalance, Sarah draws on personal experience to relate to her clients' challenges and help them live happy, healthy, energetic lives.
Scott has been involved in nutrition and fitness for over 15 years, including as a metabolic specialist and and weight loss coach. Scott's journey at PN began as a client (and finalist); he went on to earn his L1 and L2 certifications, ultimately joining PN as a coach. In his spare time, Scott likes to fish, hike, climb and paddle board and is always in search of his next adventure.
