Krista has turned her passion for strength, performance and fitness into a rewarding career and joins the Precision Nutrition Team as a Women's Fitness Expert and Lean Eating Coach.
After serving over a decade as a police officer with the Ontario Provincial Police - and two years as a professor in Niagara College’s Community Safety & Fitness Division - Krista became a full time certified strength coach.
Her ability to inspire others to become their best caught the attention of world-renowned strength training guru, Charles Poliquin, and she went on to serve as strength coach and operations manager at the Poliquin Performance Centre in Toronto in 2007.
Through her own business, Defining Edge Fitness Inc., Krista has worked with a diverse group of clientele, and often travels across North America and beyond to bring her expertise and knowledge to competitive and non-athlete clients, and to other trainers and coaches in the industry.
She is a sought after public speaker, consultant and assessor and frequently contributes to numerous online strength training publications.
Krista’s philosophy is one of consistent hard work, clean eating with the underlying theme of balance to help dedicated clients connect with their inner athlete and achieve their personal best.
Since beginning her competitive career as a strength athlete 10 year ago, Krista has become one of the Canadian Powerlifting Union’s Top 20 Female Powerlifters. She is also a National champion, provincial record holder and two times Commonwealth Championship medalist.
Recently, Krista has turned her competitive attention to the physique side of the industry, capturing 7 overall finishes in bodybuilding in 2008 and placing 5th at the 2009 Arnolds Amateur Bodybuilding Championships. She's currently working towards a National bench press record with the Canadian Powerlifting Association.
Krista’s continued vision is to guide dynamic individuals towards improved health, strength and performance and ultimately personal growth and development. She also aims to continue to serve as a leader within the performance industry and to remain a lifelong competitive athlete.
