This week only: Become a PN Level 2 Master Coach—on your schedule, at your pace, for less money!

The Self-Guided PN Level 2 Master Coaching Certification is entirely on your schedule, so there’s no deadline. You can take as much time or as little time as you like.

If you’d like some guidelines, however, the pace that seems to work best for most of our students is completing one unit per week. That means watching (or listening to, or reading) the pre-recorded lectures, implementing the daily coaching practices, and completing the reflection questions.

If you follow that structure, you can expect to spend about 4-5 hours per week on the certification materials. Since there are 20 total units, you’d earn your PN2 credentials in about four and a half months. Although you can move more quickly or slowly depending on your situation.

But here’s the best part: You don’t need to wait to get certified to start using your new skills. Since you’ll be learning and practicing from day one, you’ll be in a perfect position to start helping your clients in new ways right from the start.

The Self-Guided Level 2 program is 100% self-paced and comes with everything you need to take your coaching skills to the highest level, on your own schedule—including the 20-unit program, daily coaching practices, reflection activities and questions, and more.

The traditional cohort-based Level 2 program opens twice per year. It includes everything in the self-guided program—plus 20 weeks of live, expert-led sessions where you’ll practice what you’re learning alongside your peers; plus case studies, direct VIP access to PN’s top experts, and private cohort access.

The cohort-based Level 2 program also includes resources and requirements to become a “PN Level 2 Master Health Coach”, along with requirements to be eligible to become a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), and/or a Health Coach Alliance Registered Health Coach (HCA-RHC). These include Health Conditions & Preventive Care units and quizzes; 50 health and wellness coaching sessions completed by the candidate; board exam application and completion.

This new Self-Guided Level 2 program does NOT include the above elements for NBC-HWC or HCA-RHC eligibility.

Instead, upon completing your final exam, you’ll earn the designation “PN Level 2 Master Coach.”

(You will have the option to upgrade to the cohort-based Level 2 program in the future, at an additional cost, if you choose.)

The Self-Guided PN Level 2 program is not eligible for NBHWC board certification or the HCA-RHC designation. However, you’ll have the option to upgrade to our cohort-based Level 2 program in the future (for an additional fee), which includes the requirements to become eligible for both.

There are no prerequisites to joining PN Level 2. Our students have various levels of coaching experience and education. If you’re passionate about leveling-up your coaching skills, we’re here to help you do that.

That said, we have found that students who do the best in this program already have some background in health, fitness, and/or nutrition (e.g., fitness trainer, nutritionist, health coach, nurse, or another kind of health care provider).

To get the most out of the program, we suggest that you apply what you’re learning with real people. So having a few clients, whether formal or informal (e.g. friends, family) is ideal for you to get the most value from PN Level 2.

Once you’ve finished the Master Coaching Certification you’re required to renew your credential every two years, from your date of course completion. This will keep you on the cutting edge of this field, demonstrate your commitment to continued learning, and help you continue to deliver the best possible results for your clients.

As long as you complete the recertification process before your Master Coach Certification expires, you’ll maintain your status as “PN certified”.

Because the Self-Guided version is so new, eligibility for CEUs with various organizations is currently pending. However, upon graduating, you may contact your organization to inquire about eligibility.

They’re two completely different and complementary certifications. You do NOT need PN L1 in order to take the L2 Master Coaching Certification.

PN Level 1 is our flagship program on nutrition coaching. It will give you a pro-level understanding of nutrition science and how to apply that science to help your clients through behavior-change coaching.

The Self-Guided PN Level 2 program focuses on the art and science of comprehensive health coaching itself—not specific nutrition or fitness strategies. This will give you mastery in your coaching skills.

We’ll peel back the curtain and give you behind-the-scenes access to our best research, strategies, tools, and technologies. And you’ll go through the same curriculum we use to train PN’s in-house coaches.

What does this mean for your coaching practice?

Recent data with over 150,000 coaching clients shows that the average PN Level 2 coach:

• Gets and retains more clients vs. the average Level 1 coach,
• Gets better results with those clients vs. the average Level 1 coach, and
• Reports having more fun and enjoyment in their coaching practice.

If you’re following along with the units and pre-recorded lectures, you’ll do fine. The quizzes aren’t designed to “trip you up”. They’re not rigorous assessments and you don’t have to study for them. Rather, the quizzes are just another chance to grow. They’re in place to help you see the material from a different perspective, deepen your learning, and prepare for the final exam. 

At the end of the course, students will complete a 100 question multiple choice final exam. And again—the goal of this exam is to synthesize what you’ve learned. So as long as you’ve put effort into learning the material throughout the program, this shouldn’t be anything to stress about. (You’ll have up to two attempts to score at least a 75% or higher to pass and become certified.)

Successful completion of this course means the student must:

• Complete the reflection questions in all 20 units (these are not graded)
• Complete all 4 quizzes (these are not graded)
• Complete the 100-question, multiple-choice final exam with a score of 75% or better (you will have two attempts to pass)

No. Your course content is delivered 100% online, and you’ll have lifetime access inside your PN account. So you can participate from anywhere in the world as long as you can access the internet.
