PN is looking for an inspiring writer who’s passionate about health, fitness and helping people live their best life.
Precision Nutrition is growing, and we need to spread our message far and wide, so we can help millions more people live healthier, happier lives. If you’re the kind of person who watches a commercial or sees a billboard and thinks, “I would have written that differently,” this is for you. If you follow Ramit Sethi and Seth Godin just to study their email funnel, this is for you. As one of the largest nutrition coaching companies in the world, PN is bigger than it’s ever been — and it’s about to get bigger. We need you to help us scale.

Intro to PN Level 1 Certification
We’ve got an exciting journey ahead of us…
Over the next two to three years, Precision Nutrition is focused on expanding the reach of our nutrition education and certification programs in both professional and consumer markets, building products that will continue to help millions of users transform their lives with our unique Deep Health approach.
To help us reach our goals and keep us moving forward, we need an eager, self-starting copywriter who knows how to craft an intriguing customer journey.
Who we’re looking for
A passionate copywriter who can write cleanly, juggle projects, and collaborate with others
You have a good eye for marketing copy that sells.
You have that instinct that tells you what works well in marketing, whether email, direct mail or online advertisements. You instinctively “get” the link between product value and customer needs, even when the customer might not. You’ve always been curious about what makes people tick, and love turning that into an engaging story that calls them to action.
You’re a prioritizing multi-tasker with a sense of urgency.
You’re a highly organized problem-solver. You know how to prioritize multiple projects, adapt quickly when the scope changes—because it often will—and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
You want—need—to make things better.
You are constantly looking at ways to improve processes and add efficiencies. Your instinct is to document everything so others can follow your path to greatness.
You’re an exceptional communicator.
You know how to inspire and be heard. You know the importance of communication, especially when to speak up and when to listen. You aren’t afraid to ask questions and get clarity when you need it, and you’re quick to respond when someone needs your help.
You’re self-motivated and can work independently.
Once you are confident in what you need to do, you can run with it and don’t need a lot of direction. You have strong self-structure and discipline and have worked remotely either currently or in the past so you know the benefits and the challenges.
You do your best work when collaborating with others.
While you work independently, you don’t silo yourself, and are always eager to learn more and share with the team. You’re eager to get feedback, synthesize it into a course of action, then perfect your copy with the help of your team.
You can effectively work remotely.
You have strong self-structure and discipline, and have worked remotely either currently or in the past, so you know the benefits and the challenges.
What you’ll be doing
Crafting the stories that resonate most with our audience
You’re our narrator, telling our clients what’s happening before they even know it.
That means you’ll be doing a lot of writing, but no two days are necessarily the same. Your responsibilities include:
- Drafting copy of all kinds. Maybe you have an email funnel to work on, or you’re writing copy for multiple ads that show up on Facebook and Instagram. Whatever the day holds, you’ll obviously be spending a lot of time putting proverbial pen to paper.
- Brainstorming with the team. You’ll have regular meetings with the other copywriters, product owners, and other team members, coming up with new, creative ideas for content and campaigns and bouncing those ideas off everyone else. This could be coming up with new ideas for an email funnel, or engaging ad campaigns for Facebook and Instagram.
- Receiving (and, occasionally giving) feedback. The first draft is never the last, and you’ll be receiving lots of comments in Google Docs from the team. You’ll go in, rewrite your copy, and send it off again. And you’ll be leaving similar comments on others’ work, too—everything is a team effort.
A few important caveats
This is a dream job, if you’re the right person for it.

Must-Have #1: You must know your trade.
You have 2+ years experience with marketing copy for email newsletters, digital advertising in social media, sales pages, and blog posts. You’re fascinated by creative marketing, and you know the persuasion framework and how to create engaging CTAs like it’s second nature. You’re always up to date on the industry’s happenings and social trends.
Must-Have #2: You have excellent writing skills.
No one’s going to be on your case about grammar and style, because you’re a master of it already. You can write clean copy without much guidance, and even do a little editing when called for.
Must-Have #3: You must have writing samples we can read.
Ideally, you have samples already out in the public sphere you can send us, with proven follow-through in ongoing long-term projects. We want to see what you can do.

You’re an adult. You’re capable of deciding how your time should be spent. If you don’t think you need to attend a meeting, you don’t. Simple as that.
You’ll always feel supported.
In a regular office, it’s easy to feel like a hamster in a wheel, powerless to change things. At Precision Nutrition, we work as a team to overcome issues & barriers that stand in each other’s way, and we treat each other with enthusiasm, compassion, and care.
Diversity & Inclusion is a priority.
We view Diversity & Inclusion as critical to our success. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and our team members are people with different strengths, experiences, and backgrounds, who share a passion for helping people live happier and healthier lives. Diversity not only includes race and gender identity but also age, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, religion, and many other parts of one’s identity. All of our team members' points of view are key to our success, and inclusion is everyone's responsibility.
You’ll never be bored.
People often come to Precision Nutrition after hitting a plateau in their old jobs. At PN, you’ll get the chance to conquer new challenges, learn from the best, and reach thrilling new heights of personal and professional growth.
