Try a bit of Spezzatino and help change the world, one ingredient at a time.
Welcome to Spezzatino, a brand new food magazine unlike any other. Spezzatino is different from other food mags in three important ways.
First, this is all for charity! Proceeds from subscriptions support the Healthy Food Bank, a registered charity that provides nutritious foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grains to local food banks around Canada and the United States.
Second, Spezzatino is less like a magazine and more like an ongoing encyclopedia of food. Each volume focuses on one food or ingredient at a time, and we cover every aspect of that food, from how it affects your body and health, to how it’s grown and how great chefs and cooks turn it into delicious, gourmet meals.
Third, it’s beautifully written, photographed and designed, all by volunteer contributors. Spezzatino is a sort of open source publishing project, by food lovers, for food lovers — and all for a great cause.
We think it’s better than anything else out there in the food world. But don’t take our word for it. See for yourself. Have a taste first. Join our newsletter, which we use to notify our readers of new articles and volumes, and each day for the next week we’ll send you some sample articles and recipes from Volume 1 to download and enjoy.
