Discuss Christian's BB Program

Attached to this post is the third new training program, Off-Season and Pre-Contest Training for Bodybuilders, by Christian Thibaudeau.

Oh man, this one speaks for itself. Anyone who doesn't know Christian's writing should start searching for it asap. This is an awesome program, 24 weeks in length, covering all facets of contest preparation.

The thing to keep in mind here is that this isn't for beginners and intermediates. It's for people with real aspirations to step on stage and compete. But even if you never intend to do that, you'll still learn a ton just by reading through the program.

Here's my interview with Christian, another really great guy who always has interesting and insightful things to say:

Cheers,
Phil

Looking forward to giving this a try or at least in part as I know his stuff is intense such as his optimized volume training. Also looking forward to getting a few of his books.

Thanks John and Christian for this.

Okay, so I am a figure girl and have just completed my first show on 10-28 in Houston (John Sherman) and am studying and taking more control over my diet and training for my next show. I have not read through Mr. Thibaudeau's training for bodybuilders paper yet (just printed it and can't wait to read), but will it be applicable to female bodybuilders (figure), as well? Thanks for all the information you provide in a no-nonsense way. I am thoroughly enjoying it. Keep it coming. Thanks a million!

Fantabulous

I finished Thib's 12 Week Mutation Series about 2 weeks ago and had amazing results! I set some goals for myself at the beginning of the program and I beat every goal I set. This program looks fantastic.

My only question is, the first 3 phases of the program are mass gaining. So, should we be following the mass gaining part of Precision Nutrition? I'm still trying to get the hang of PN so I'm not sure how to link the two programs together for the best results.

dre: if you engage in a mass-gaining phase, your eating must, of course, be adjusted accordingly (which means that you increase your calorie intake up to the point where your body shifts towards the desired outcome, using the outcome based decision matrix of PN)

One of the most common questions we get from Precision Nutrition readers is whether we can help them personally. The answer is usually no, and has been for some time. And the reason is simply that there are more people that need help than there are qualified coaches to help them.

But every now and again, we open up a few spots in our coaching programs, and we're now accepting people on the waiting list for our group coaching programs: Lean Eating for Men, and Lean Eating for Women.
