What is the best green supplement?

Hello everyone My name is Shauna and I am a new member to PN. My boyfriend and training partner Aaron are coexisting on this site and are excited to be part of the community. So that is that for starters...

My main question is which is the most effective and efficient greens supplement? We have begun using Greens+ and it seems to be doing whatever it is supposed to do (???) but I also see many other similar products, including Biotest Superfood. Which one does everyone think is the best buy?

Greens+ is one of the few (only?) that actually has the science backing-up their claims.

Oh and welcome!

I use Miracle Greens. I've found this to be one of the better ones. Does anyone have an opinion on it?

I have enjoyed progressive; however, just recently I switched to a new product....Magnum; performance Edge / wild berry flavor / pharmaceutical Grade greens formula.....and I must say, two thumbs ups!!

Thanks everyone...this has been helpful. I just want to be able to see what my options are. It is especially reassuring to get the advice from people who have the experience!

Looks like PN is recommending greens+

PN APPROVED GREENS SUPPLEMENTS
greens+ - US
greens+ - Canada

I use Progressive VegeGreens.

ReneeW:
Why did you move to the Magnum product?

Is this the product you are referring to? I couldn't find much info on it on the internet.

I use Amazing Grass - Chocolate flavored.

http://www.amazinggrass.com

It is probably not the best, but it's the only one I can find in a flavor I can tolerate. For now, it is better than none at all in my super shakes :)

I use Biotest's Superfood due to some concerns about potential allergens in Greens+ ...and like the promo says, it tastes like a mild berry tea, great addition to a PWO shake :)

Yep! Thats the one!!

Why did I change? Well, by the principle that the body is always adapting, and the importance of change to maximize our gains with all we do...ie training...food...and even supplementation. I like to cycle various products to keep giving my body the best as such.

This product was referred to me also by my peer, and it was explained to me by my supplement guy (who carries many brands) how this one is elite...it has more in it as such...more to reap....more for the body to gain...smile

It is quite tasty as well....I enjoy the flavor...which is also another great bonus when it comes to a greens product.

ReneeW:

Ya the Progressive VeggeGreens taste is very lame. It kind of ruins my shake : )

Cycle various products -- now that is a good idea. I have heard of cycling your number of calories a day, cycling your workout, but not your supplements.

Nice tip.

I hit my half way point this week in my first goal which is to loose 40lbs. Just 20lb left to go and then I am going to work on bulking up a bit on the top. Then maintenance.
