I just finished up Krista's program she has posted here (Next Level Training) and it called for more cardio than I have been doing so I thought, well this added cardio will surely blast that stubborn fat off my butt and upper legs. Now you know, I'm pretty lean already and really don't need to lose anything (other than the stubborn fat I think I see). So with that, I wanted to keep my food intake the same(no reduction and no increase in calories) since the added cardio was increasing the amount of activity per week, I figured this will get my g-flux going and perhaps spare the upper body since I don't have anything up there but draw the fat from the lower body. Well, butt on fat remains although my butt appears little higher . However, my waist got smaller and so did my boobs! I didn't think I had anything left in the upper torso to use as energy!
You know with most girls to get ultra lean legs (unless you are geneticaly gifted) you just have to keep on eating real tight long after your upper body has no fat storage..only then legs will cave in. Most figure girl who come to show with super lean upper body and softer legs would match their legs if they went perhaps another 8 weeks on..it is just number I am throwing..it could be 4 or 6 or even 12..depends on person. The thing with legs for non-competitor..you have to decide if it is worthy all that extra work It is not just extra work..it is real hardcore dieting and training to the point you feel like you may loose it mentally If you look at my pics..my upper body is 100% more defined then legs. I would probably need another good 8 weeks to really bring them out And as for eating...calories will go down and carb cycling is generally implemented.

And yeah...Boobies are quite often the first place where female loose their fat Sux huh

I've come to the conclusion that in order for me to completely get rid of the butt fat, I would have to reduce my caloric intake to below where I'm comfortable (read: starve myself practically) and use GSD or that Fat Loss Kick Start protocol. But I've been there (starvation) and am not willing to go there ever again. Peace with the bit of butt fat, I say. I look better than most 40 years olds....at least that what I've been told!
Yeah as I said before..you may have to ( or not..it depends)resolve to very low cal eating and carb cycling to get there. And sometimes that is just not worth to battle it out for that extra 1-2 % BF
Hey and I am sure you look hot as...about time you shared some pics with me

BTW...I have eating plan for the next 4 weeks to see if I can kick those stubborn legs in gear. And it involves taking in close to 2000 cal If it works I will share it..for for now I am keeping mum about it LOL!!! You just have to wait

By the way, Krista's program was great! Lot's of variety which I need. My strength and conditioning have skyrocketed! I can now do 6 pullups un assisted.
Good to hear that 6 pullups..you kick butt chick..those are hard

Do you think you have a damaged liver?
I do not really know but....
I had mean case of Jaundice as a teenager Infected diary..whole town went pretty much down. I was one of the first cases so I got diagnosed late..it was summer hollidays and I was forever spending time at stables and my grandparents hardly ever saw me..so they did not pick it up at early stage. I was tired but we all though it was cos I had to ride up to 4 horses per day plus lots of work in summer around stables. Up early to bed late...

I spent some time in hospital and then in home care and one year on hardcore diet+heaps of Vit B shots and blood test.

Anyway my tests for the last 2-3 years keep coming back high with billirubin all the time. My doc said Gilberts. While it is no big deal in his opinion he recomended to be kind to my liver no alcohol/fried food/heavy eating (do not do it anyway)

My AST and ALT have shot up considerably in these last 16 week(but still within the range) Dr. Lopez coments on that here...someone else had the same issue.

http://www.precisionnutrition.com/me...ead.php?t=8316

So I just though I check anything on liver

Thanks! Good to know I'm okay with my fruit! Yeah, if I eat too much fruit I get bloated and my bowels become runny as well.Sorry, you started it. LOL! Only certain fruits will affect me like that though, like bananas. I only have bananas when I workout (right after a workout with whey) because whenever I've had them outside the workout period, my stomach gets upset.
Cool

I'm a veggie woman myself. I love and eat pounds of them. The other day at work I had some cauliflower and ground turkey burger which I had just heated and took back to my desk. I kept hearing my co-workers say, "what's that smell?" "It smells like a baby's soiled diaper" "It smells like sewer garbage". Oh my! I was so embarrased, and I had to fess up of course. I said, "Sorry it's just me and my califlower. The smell will go away once the cauliflower cools off. "It was delicious though!
LOL...cauli/broccoli and eggs are killers I stopped taking them to work and reserved them for home when I worked at the gym. Shees I used to stick up the whole place when I whiped my food out So it had to stop

Hey, have you ever made your own almond milk? I don't drink cow's milk anymore and have been on an almond milk kick lately. The commercial almond milk although decent has ingredients other than just almonds and water (tapioca starch, carageenan and others) Of course, these are needed to prolong shelf like and to add thickness to the milk and although not bad, I'd rather do without. So, I've been making my own! It's soooo easy and tastes so much better than the commercial stuff! Even my boys- teenagers_ like it! I will never go back to using the commercial stuff. Nothing is wasted either, because I toast the ground up almond pulp/meal and sprinkle it on smoothies or my yogurt/protein powder/berry breakfast. I wonder if I could make it into almond butter? Better not, since that can be dangerous. I've been known to eat half a jar in once sitting.
Oh yeah baby..homemade is always untouchable compare to shop one But I do not do much almond milk..we tend to have Organic raw milk Kefir ( goat/cow/coconut) with our oats..great for digestion/healthy bacteria. And yeap you are right..almond butter is killer..I am same like you..well not anymore. Now the jar of almond butter is safe with me but there were times when I would eat half a jar in one sitting just like that!!!

Good for you. Hope you enjoyed your Sunday. Sunday is usually my "rest" day as well. By rest I mean, I usually stay home, and do things I enjoy. Like cooking! I usually cook about three to four different meals for the week. This way I don't have to cook during the week when I get home from work. I like experimenting cooking new things. At least one of my meals is something new I've not tried before. Today it's going to be a vegan portabello mushroom sandwich (no bread). I'm using the portabello as the bread. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Talk about not being able to keep up....Sheesh you had some great post here while I was gone, but it took along time to read...worth every minute

AL: You look amazing!!!!

Aluschka, you are so right when you said: "You nailed it Knowledge can be dangerous. More we know less we know..kinda thing. I think the major challenge comes when everything practicaly contradicts everything LOL!!! You come form medical background..so you will probably confirm that more you know/study about disease more you think you have every disease under the sun. Heck I though so when I was studying all the natural therapies etc. LOL!!"

I get the "yeah but..." syndrome when ever I read a "new" and "improved" way of doing things. For me to succeed I just need to turn off my internal, objecting voice and just do it.

So today I'm committed to just doing it. No whines, no justifications, no thinking I know more than the pro's....JUST DO IT!!!! That's me...the NIKE commerical says it all!

Have a great day!

Mighty Al...I totally missed that question

Phew you are putting me on tight spot here LOL!!!

I do not really count calories..well at least on on day to day basis. If I am after fat loss I just create plan and do it. I will set my calories,protein/fat and carbs. Everytime it is different. It depends what is my current BF%..how active I am etc. So sometimes I may diet on 1500-1800 cals. Next time it will be 1100-1500 cal. I wish I could give something in stone but I can't. But basic are the same...clean eating...veg/complex carbs/fruit/protein,healthy fats..only macros may vary. And I may have 1-2 small rewards per week like Cappuccino or Chinesse stir fry veg and chicken/beef if fat loss is going well..if not then it has to go But I never really go to the point when I am starving and all I think about is food. I am always pretty happy with amount of food I have. The last time I was starving was 6 years ago when I was in prep for Nationals. Ever since I just can't handle too restrictive eating (well at least not for too long )

As for when not in diet mode...I just eat bigger portions and do not worry much about carbs and fat. I do not watch it closely...but I do not go nuts My food choices will be still healthy...pretty much the same like when I eat strict-just a bit more freedom.

Maybe I can record my food for a few days this summer when I am on Pro Tour and you can figure out my caloric intake..cos I for sure do not want to crack my head with it LOL!!!

Remeber the amount of calories you are taking might be too much for me or too little. So same with mine..it may work for me but not for you. When I was getting ready for Nationals9as I mentioned before) there was this girl who was eating at least 1000 calories more then me...for two of her snacks she had protein bar..heaps of complex carbs and fruit and she was loosing weight and fat. Me forget it..I was basically down to living on green leaves and protein and my weight would not budge. If she were on my plan she would waste away.
Now I am thinking...maybe if I worked with different PT he would cycle carbs/calories with me. Maybe he would rest me instead of giving me more work etc.

When I look at it now (6 years later) I was sufferning from adrenal exhaustion,my metabolic rate was decreased...etc. Shees I am off topic again!!! Sorry

Well, I'm not getting over here often enough to keep up, but I gotta say your final challenge pix were AWESOME! I think I respect even more when someone is already in good shape, but can make it still better. You sure did that!

Thanks for the inspiration!

One of the most common questions we get from Precision Nutrition readers is whether we can help them personally. The answer is usually no, and has been for some time. And the reason is simply that there are more people that need help than there are qualified coaches to help them.

But every now and again, we open up a few spots in our coaching programs, and we're now accepting people on the waiting list for our group coaching programs: Lean Eating for Men, and Lean Eating for Women.
