Muscle Milk...

My 25lbs of True Protein Recession Whey is finally running out (lasted 2+ years!).

Have been pricing out various "larger qty" options.

Have noticed that people really seem to like Muscle Milk as a good standard "go to" protein powder.

Some of the "numbers" make me wonder as to whether this would be something I would use PWO (seem like high fat #'s, anywhere between 30%-50% depending on what web site you look at)..., but my particular use of protein powder probably makes this moot.

Also have noticed that pricing on Amazon is pretty attractive..., depending on what ya order, it compares well to a True Nutrition option.

But..., I guess have really only have one question: Can you bake w/ the stuff? Are results comparable to some sort of WPC and/or WPI product?

Any other thoughts are welcome too!

I recently bought some to use after lunchtime workouts at work where I don't have a blender handy. I have to say I find it unbearably sweet. It actually makes me feel ill. I'm not sure if it's a bad batch but I will be mixing mine with some pure whey just so I don't waste the money on it. Maybe taste test before buying?

I second Marianna's taste before buying. You can get a single bottle from stores. I bought one before and wasn't a fan of the taste or consistency.

OK..., thx! I'm interested in the powder..., and I think my local Safeway carries some in small, exorbitantly prices quantities..., still cheaper than 10#'s though...

Probably would also be enough for a quick baking experiment.

The powder is delicious in all forms. Especially cookies and cream.
Don't let the fat scare you off for post workout. Do a bit of research on their website, where they break down the types of fat in it, and how it doesn't impeed workout recovery. Its also great to keep yourself from going catabolic at night (if you believe in that, of course.) I suggest cookies and cream as a delicious one to go to.

I like MM first thing in the morning, and right before bed. Tasty treat all around. Tons of flavors, inexpensive, mixes well with water. Personally wouldn't use it PWO considering isolate digests faster, but that's just me.
