Snack recommendation??
need some different variations of snacks for morning tea and afternoon.
tea. Ive been eating a slice of asparagus quiche for the the am snack and a slice of zucchini bread for the pm snack. I want to try something else but not a full on meal just a snack that satisfy. The pn gourmet nutrition book just has bars and supershakes. Is there any other good snack ideas. I lead a active lifestyle and work as a butcher 5days per week. I train mma and my workouts are intense! Need more than a small bar or shake just dont think thats enough. Any ideas? Cheers |

Combine a few smaller snacks if you like or simply make a slightly bigger lunch/dinner each day and eat a bit of it as a snack 2-4 hrs later.
You can make an almost limitless variety of mini quiches in a muffin tray, mix yoghurt and berries, nuts, seeds, avocado, a little bit of cheese, protein powder may help improve a snack as well (I prefer to take it separately rather than mix it). Another good resource is Georgies Fuel Up. She provides a list on her website Askgeorgie.com about which recipies fit AT/PW options and just about all could be adapted to be a snack (just cut the serving down right). ![]() How do you think you could use any of those ideas? |
