So i'm wondering,
in Dave Barr's dogma busting articles back in 2002, the general value of glutamine in resistance training was pretty much put to bed. JmB followed up with an article largely agreeing with Barr's position. That's now a 7 year old stand. Since then there seems to be a creeping resurgence of glutamine getting used/promoted for 'recovery' - it's also in products like "ice" that is otherwise BCAA's Has something happened in the past while to revise the position on glutamine? can't see anything in pubmed that particularly addresses this post 2003. the one study (2006) that compares whey + casein vs whey+ bcaa's + glutamine (why that combo??) shows whey+ casein pulls ahead. ??? thanks mc

Good question. I hear things about gut health. I also ignore the stuff, so my position is that it never helped me, or mine, in a way that I could tell.
