mercula "optimal whey" serum vs Any Other Whey

I'd be very interested to know what folks know of the claims made by mercula on their whey "serum" vs whey isolate/hydro etc in terms of the treatment of the whey/protein.

(this also seems to be more of a meal replacement thing than straight protein, but i am interested in their protean claims)

Quote:
Even today's most expensive whey products -- isolates, ion exchange, concentrates and hydrolyzed form -- are denatured by-products of cheese manufacturing that fall short of preserving the biological activity of the whey proteins. These damaged proteins leave just a slim range of proteins to contribute to your health.
Pro-Optimal Whey™ never uses cross-flow filtration, microfiltration, hydrolyzation, ion exchange, or any process that could denature the original proteins as found in pure, raw milk.
Pro-Optimal Whey™ uses Proserum® Whey Protein. Proserum® is a customized non-denatured, whey protein powder. It undergoes a unique pasteurization process to keep the full range of all the fragile immune balancing and restoring components of fresh raw milk.
The Proserum® used in our Pro-Optimal Whey™ is an exceptional quality natural whey protein. It took years of work to perfect the proprietary filtration and drying methods to lessen processing and retain critical nutrients.
i like that they use grass fed cattle that it seems aren't factory farmed (that may not be the case: they don't explicitly say they're not)

but as to the serum part,
Science thoughts?

I will not claim to be a scientist but my skeptical marketing buttons have been hit. When I see the words, "but wait there's more" I start looking for used car salesmen.

I see proprietary system and that typically translates to EXPENSIVE.

I see two studies mentioned, and a TON of asterisks on many of the claims being made. The asterisk leads to a disclaimer saying "these claims have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration."

I don't like products with proprietary blends/processes where I can't see something specific. I'm also not fond of products making a ton of claims without providing cites in an easy to find manner.

But none of those points are to the science specifically. So I apologize if I'm detouring the discussion.

One of the most common questions we get from Precision Nutrition readers is whether we can help them personally. The answer is usually no, and has been for some time. And the reason is simply that there are more people that need help than there are qualified coaches to help them.

But every now and again, we open up a few spots in our coaching programs, and today is one of those days. We're now accepting clients for our group coaching programs: Lean Eating for Men, and Lean Eating for Women.
