Meltdown Training - Done Alessi
http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=459809
I stumbled upon this link while reading about the "Real Fast Fat Loss" by Alwyn Cosgrove. It looks like a very intense workout. He has some thoughts about cardio . I'd like to know your thoughts on it. I am planning on doing it in 4 weeks.

If you're looking to heat up the furnace and melt that fat, this program is definately it. I coupled this routine with GSD and loved the results. In fact, I always incorporate this routine whenever I undergo a leaning phase. Be prepared to suffer and be sure to follow the tempo specifications. Good luck and keep us posted.

My experience with meltdown training has been mixed. I have no doubt that this type of training burns fat efficiently. Performing the circuits is a challenge and takes a great deal of energy and gave me good results. However, I made the mistake of switching from heavy lifting to meltdown training completely for about 2 months and I lost a great deal of strength. My diet probably contributed to this loss also as I was cutting calories. If I ever decide to try this type of training again, I will use it in place of cardio and try to maintain my key lifts (DL, BS, BP, Rows, Etc..) at the same time. (Just my 2 cents)
