Lift Strong Day

A few weeks ago, my good friend, Alwyn Cosgrove sent me the following email.  I wanted to share it with you today to mention why we’re celebrating Lift Strong Day here at PN Headquarters.

Hey JB,

It’s now been 1000 days since my bone marrow and stem cell transplant (editor’s note:  Alwyn is now just over 3 years in remission from cancer).   I had another all clear check up this morning – something I have to go through every six months.

Anyway, I need a favor.

It seems ridiculous that the government is giving economic bailouts to banks and different organizations yet cancer research is driven largely by donations.  Seems our priorities are mixed up.

So my idea is this.  Together let’s turn April 6th into a “Lift Strong Day”.

(For those of you that don’t know – Lift Strong is an 800 “page” CD manual that Alwyn, myself, and a host of top experts put together to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.)

Sales are going ok, although – surprisingly – they’re not going great.  However, I think that could change if we do a one day promotion to remind people that:

a) We’ve got an awesome product available for only $24.99.

b) When people buy the product, all the money raised, every $24.99,  goes to fighting cancer.

c) People are still fighting cancer and the only way they have a chance is through the donations of private individuals.

I think we could raise 20-30K for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in one day simply by spreading the word.   And, it bears repeating.  No one makes any profit from this project – it all goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Every cent.

So – April 6th?  Let’s do this.
