Paul1 Paul Valiulis, BA (Hons)

Paul Valiulis caught the attention of Dr. John Berardi in 2009 when he transformed himself from a scrawny 133-lb marathon runner to a brawny 207-lb bodybuilder (initially a 74-lb difference in 13 months).

Following Dr. Berardi’s “Scrawny to Brawny” nutrition and exercise program, Paul was able to put a substantial amount of mass on his ectomorphic frame, overcome a number of physical and psychological barriers, and to even secure a job as head coach of the new Scrawny to Brawny coaching program.

It wasn’t at all easy, but Paul did it. Choosing to follow the right exercise and nutrition prescription, to surround himself with only positive influences, to read every motivational and self-development book under the sun, and to constantly revise his goals and visions, Paul overcame a host of obstacles in becoming not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally brawny.

Paul is often referred to by his friends and training partners as the “Cerebral Assassin”, since he demands much of himself and those around him. Since overcoming depression, an eating disorder, a herniated disk, and various self-confidence issues, Paul’s mission is to show everyone he comes into contact with that anything – absolutely ANYTHING – is possible if they’ll only cut the excuses and believe.
